Hello. We are in Cagliari and our host has offered us a tour to visit this site. Reading most comments, they suggest that the ticket cost is €12 approx. I was just wondering if this included transport from cagliari? Thanks

You pay a 12€ entrance fee for a guided tour. There is no other way to enter - you can not go inside without a guide. Transport is your concern, we rented a car. Enjoy!
