Redcar is pretty run down, a lot of the hotels have disappeared or moved over to permanent residents, you may be better staying outside of Redcar.Think I am right in saying none of the usual chains have anything there, quick look on the hotel section on this site brings up Cross Keys at £42 pn which is on the road to Guisborough, never stayed but pub is ok. Redcar deserves better but is run down and dont think there is much of a hotel trade left there
