The way that Furniture Mart quickly grew was when they developed a price structure to compete, not with the local merchants, but with the furniture that was being sold in Highpoint, North Carolina. Furniture Mart wanted to get that furniture sold right here in Jacksonville, so they offered customers the same prices.
