CSU shattered its program record for student turnout for a football game in Friday's Border War against Wyoming.

Colorado State quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi took a knee, tossed the ball in the air and ran to the awaiting prize on the visiting sideline. The Bronze Boot is coming back to Fort Collins.

Army Capt. Daniel J. Romero, a Pueblo native, wore the boot while serving in Vietnam. He offered up his boot upon returning home and being assigned to the ROTC program at Colorado State University. Every year since 1968, the trophy has gone to the winning football team in the Border War rivalry between Wyoming and CSU.
