Columbia University student Mohsen Mahdawi left federal prison, but his case isn't over. His lawyer says the Trump administration's case against him is "laughable" and "unconstitutional."

Mohsen Mahdawi, a 34-year-old U.S. permanent resident who was raised in a refugee camp in the West Bank, was detained during his April 14 naturalization interview in Vermont.

The judge said Mahdawi can go back to his home in Vermont and continue attending classes at Columbia University, where he's supposed to graduate this spring.
