Tucked away in a recent report from Deadline was news that Warner Bros. is developing new Goonies and Gremlins movies. The article outlined the studio’s upcoming projects. Alongside these classics, Warner Bros.

According to Deadline, Warner Bros. is currently in development on a new film in the “ Gremlins ” franchise, as well as a new “ Goonies ” movie. As far “Gremlins” goes, it appears the new film is going to be coming from filmmaker Chris Columbus. “Goonies,” on the other hand, is just a treatment, as of now.

The follow-up flick will bring back The Goonies co-scribe Chris Columbus , who wrote the original film with Steven Spielberg, to pen the story of the upcoming movie.
