Amazon Prime Video has decided not to move forward with a second season of Étoile, effectively cancelling the ballet drama just weeks after its first season dropped, despite having originally greenlit two seasons straight to series.

If you're in the US, there are some pretty massive movies hitting Prime Video this month, and none of them are quite as memorable as Nosferatu, which only arrived in cinemas at the very end of 2024 (or early 2025 in other regions). This gothic horror movie has some of the most eye-catching visuals of any movie recently.

The first bow of “Étoile” is also its last. Prime Video has canceled the ballet series from “Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, despite the streamer initially greenlighting the production with a two-season commitment.
