American Freight, a furniture store with locations in more than a dozen states, is closing all of its 328 stores including the one in.

All six of New York's American Freight furniture stores will be closing as a result of its parent company's Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, the company announced earlier this week.

The American Freight Furniture and Mattress store in Manheim Township is among 328 U.S. locations that will be closing as part of a bankruptcy reorganization by its parent company, Franchise

The Tacoma location of American Freight will close along with the other 327 stores in the United States. The parent company of the nationwide appliance and furniture store, Franchise Group, began Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in federal court in Delaware.

The store closing announcement comes days after American Freight's parent company announced restructuring as part of a bankruptcy filing.

An Ohio-based furniture retailer is shutting down for good, closing doors at all locations across the nation. As it closes, the company promises slashed prices and deep discounts as they work to get rid of inventory.
