They're part of the 17 that have been installed across the city. Violations will result in a fine of $158.

Red-light camera intersections are selected based on the city’s crash data. The program places the cameras where accidents and traffic are highest. Northwest Eighth Street at West Boynton Beach Boulevard (southbound and westbound). Boynton Beach Boulevard at North Seacrest Boulevard (eastbound).

As the newly installed red light camera at the bustling intersection begins issuing fines on Thursday, Boynton Beach drivers are reminded to heed the warning.
