SLUBICE, Poland (AP) — Poland reinstated border controls on Monday with Germany and Lithuania following similar German restrictions imposed earlier this year aimed at discouraging asylum-seekers.

Amid a dispute with Germany over the management of migration flows, the Polish government has announced the establishment of 52 manned checkpoints along its borders with Lithuania and Germany. The measure is expected to increase waiting times for freight vehicles.
