A North Carolina high school football game came to an end early on Friday night when a player threw a punch at a referee.
On Sept. 12, around 10 p.m., officers working off-duty at a high school football game at A.J. Simeon Stadium, located at 2390 School Park Road, responded after reports of an assault.
The referee was evaluated for injuries at Simeon Stadium in High Point, but did not require any additional medical attention, High Point police said.
