Greg Biffle, a champion on the NASCAR Xfinity and Trucks circuits, died Thursday when his private jet crashed after taking off from an airport in Statesville, N.C., according to multiple reports.

Former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle and his family were among those killed Dec. 18 when a plane crashed at an airport in western North Carolina.

He was believed to be among seven people killed, including his wife and two children.
