Matthew Lillard, who played Stuart ‘Stu’ Macher in the first 1996 Scream movie, is returning to the franchise for Spyglass/Paramount’s Scream 7.

This line, famously spoken by the character Stu Macher in the original 1996 “Scream” movie, made a momentous new appearance Thursday when actor Matthew Lillard, who played Stu, posted a video on Instagram Thursday teasing a return to the “Scream” franchise after 30 years away.

What really makes the movie's killer duo great, however, is Stu Macher (Matthew Lillard). Billy being a murderer makes sense. But Stu? Lillard not only portrays Stu as being fun and charismatic, but he also seems like too much of a class clown to have actually planned any of this out.

The OG Scream band is getting back together somewhat, with Lillard set to join Neve Campbell, who's reprising her role as Sidney Prescott, and Courteney Cox on Scream 7. Scott Foley, Mason Gooding, and Jasmin Savoy Brown are in it, too.
