Spirit Airlines is expanding their service at The Motor City’s Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) by adding 15 new and returning nonstop routes.

The two new destinations expand upon Spirit’s existing service to Fort Lauderdale, FL, Myrtle Beach, SC and Orlando, FL from Bradley. Michael W. Shea, the CAA’s executive director, said routes announced Friday will expand low-cost fare options at Bradley.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines will begin nonstop flights between Austin and Detroit this summer. The airline will launch the route on June 12, with flights operating four times each week. The route is a resumption of service for Spirit; it last flew between AUS and DTW in August 2023.
