An internal US government review found no evidence of widespread theft by Hamas of US-funded humanitarian aid in Gaza, contradicting the State Department’s claims that were used to justify backing a controversial private organization that took over aid distribution in the enclave.

Israel rolled back curbs on aid distribution to Gaza over the weekend in an effort to defuse a growing international outcry over the hunger crisis convulsing the shattered Palestinian enclave.

More likely they are a gesture to allies who have issued strong statements blaming Israel for starvation in Gaza.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., echoed the president’s stance during an appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press, saying, “There is no way you’re going to negotiate an end to this war with Hamas. Hamas is a terrorist organization; they’re religious Nazis.”
