Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE:LUV) announced on Monday that it is in talks with China Airlines Group to create an interline partnership in early 2026. The airline company expects to start selling published connections with China Airlines later this year.

Southwest's latest partnership with China Airlines was announced this week, when the two gathered at the International Air Transport Association's annual general meeting in India. The meeting is Southwest's first since becoming a member carrier earlier this year, and Southwest seems to be fully utilizing the networking opportunity.

That's in addition to the three gateways the two airlines launched earlier this year: Denver International Airport (DEN), Nashville International Airport (BNA) and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI).
