A complete blackout was enforced in Srinagar while residents of Jammu reeled under the sounds of explosions and blaring sirens as defence systems intercepted multiple Pakistani drones.

Pakistan’s military says it shot down 25 Indian drones that entered its airspace, as hostilities between the nuclear-armed neighbours continue to spiral following Indian air raids on multiple locations within Pakistan’s territory.

Pakistan said it launched a military operation against India early on Saturday, targeting multiple bases including a missile storage site in northern India as the neighbours extended their worst fighting in nearly three decades.
