Strikes by Starbucks workers that kicked off on Friday in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Seattle have spread to more cities across the U.S.

The union said it expects the number of stores impacted to hit 300, but it's unclear if the group will hit that target by the end of Christmas Eve.

SEATTLE — A nationwide strike against Starbucks is now in its fifth day. Across the country Starbucks employee say they want higher wages and back pay they say the company owes them. The Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood has been closed for five days because of the strike.
