In the city of Wellesley, Massachusetts, a dangerous situation unfolded when the ice broke under a dog, leading his owner to experience a nightmare during the rescue attempt. The local police department posted a video of the rescue operation online.

A Wellesley father of three and his dog are home safe after first responders rescued them from a freezing lake on Sunday. WBZ-TV's Tammy Mutasa reports.
