Travelers at San Diego International Airport are experiencing long wait times at security checkpoints due to a partial government shutdown affecting TSA employees.

Robert Mack, a lead TSA officer and union leader based in San Diego, described working without pay since the partial government shutdown started in February. Mack said he was in “shock” when President Donald Trump’s said he would deploy federal immigration agents to airports.
