Adam Henrique scored in each of the first two periods and Connor McDavid netted a breakaway goal to lead the visiting Edmonton Oilers past the Boston Bruins 4-0 on Tuesday night.

The Edmonton Oilers had a dominant 4-0 win over the Boston Bruins, but if there was one stain on an otherwise perfect game, it was the lack of response after Zadorov's hit on Stuart Skinner.

In a measuring stick game at the Garden on Tuesday, the Bruins simply did not measure up. The Edmonton Oilers, both very good and very hot, came onto Causeway Street and had their way with the overmatched B’s, smoking them, 4-0.

Edmonton goalie Stuart Skinner left Tuesday’s night’s game in Boston late in the first period after a hard collision with Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov, but was back on the ice for the start of the second.

Now in the midst of a five-game losing streak, Boston needs a surge in the second ... Zadorov thought Brett Kulak had shoved him behind with his forearm creating the contact.

The Oilers took to the ice for practice on Monday at TD Garden to shake off the previous day’s travel and prepare themselves to meet a perennial contender in the Bruins, who’ve lost four straight games (0-3-1) and five of their last six (1-4-1) after losing back-to-back matches this past weekend to the Maple Leafs and Islanders.

Oilers netminder Stuart Skinner left Tuesday’s game against the Boston Bruins after getting hit by defenceman Nikita Zadorov. The incident happened with five and a half minutes left in the first period when Zadorov was driving to the net.

It doesn’t matter if the Edmonton Oilers are 3-0 down, they’re the best darn team in the world. On Thursday, the Oilers played the second game of a back-to-back, defeating the Colorado Avalanche 4-3 after storming back from a serious deficit.

There have been a lot of Edmonton Oilers games over the years in which they’ve trailed 3-0 in the first period — 102, to be exact. Those games have rarely gone well for the team in the past, and understandably so.
