We are now under 24 hours until the 2025 NHL trade deadline hits and the Edmonton Oilers are reported to be fishing for another deal.
The Edmonton Oilers have already made one trade for Trent Frederic, and it seems like they're looking to make another.
Ryan Donato and Connor Murphy are Chicago options. Donato makes $2.2 million, while Murphy makes $4.4 million, and Toronto would have to get creative in that trade. With Gourde off the board, the Leafs could go get Jamie Oleksiak, who has one year left at $4.6 million and is the type of player they need.
The Oilers aren’t desperate to add anywhere, but there are a few spots where solidifying sure would be useful.
