A lawsuit accusing SpaceX of illegally polluting water surrounding its South Texas launch site is being shelved.  Environmental group Save RGV decided to drop its lawsuit against Elon Musk's SpaceX, KUT first reported,

If a majority of the roughly 500 residents living around the South Texas site vote yes in May, Starbase will be the state’s newest city.

Construction on SpaceX's $15 million dining and retail development Rio West near Starbase, Texas, is yet to begin. Elon Musk owns the astronautics company.

Save RGV is dropping a federal lawsuit against SpaceX alleging the aerospace company founded by Elon Musk illegally polluted the water near its rocket launch site in Texas.

SpaceX has rolled its Super Heavy booster to the launch pad ahead of Flight 8, which is scheduled to take place on Friday this week, as confirmed by Musk.

The proposed city sits on the southern edge of Texas near the U.S.-Mexican border. In July 2024, Musk posted on X that he had reached " the final straw " in California and would be moving SpaceX's headquarters to the Texas rocket complex.
