There is an election on Nov. 4 in some states, but Illinois is not one of them. Officials across the state are even reminding residents there is no election on Tuesday.

Illinois’ next General Primary election is scheduled to be held on March 17th, 2026. The election will feature an election for Illinois Governor, with several candidates declared to take on current Democrat Gov. JB Pritzker, who is seeking a third term.
