Julius Randle is staying put. The former Knicks forward, who was traded to the Timberwolves in the Karl-Anthony Towns deal right before the start of training camp last year, is set to sign a new three-year, $100 million contract to remain with Minnesota, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Sunday.

Randle and the Wolves agreed to a three-year, $100 million deal that features a player option in the third year, a source confirmed. ESPN first reported the agreement.

After the New York Knicks shockingly shipped Randle and Donte DiVincenzo to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Karl-Anthony Towns last fall, there were questions about how New York would survive without its former All-NBA selection (second-team in 2021, third-team in 2023).
