Rated as one of the top 10 most popular cars sold in the U.S. in 2024, the Civic model is currently sourced in both countries.

Honda’s Indiana factory employs roughly 2,700 people and currently handles production of the Civic hatchback and CR-V. It also plans to shift production of the Accord from a site in Marysville, Ohio, to the Indiana site, although it’s unclear if moving Civic Hybrid production from Japan will impact these plans.

Honda is making all the necessary steps to avoid tariffs. The Japanese automaker will reportedly build the hybrid Civic in the United States
