Citgo Petroleum Corp (PDVSAC.UL) said a lightning strike started a fire at a storage tank at its 459,800-barrel-per-day Lake Charles refinery in Louisiana on Thursday.

Around 1:25 p.m., lightning struck a tank at CITGO Lake Charles Refinery and ignited a fire, CITGO said in a statement. Emergency crews responded immediately and are actively working to extinguish the fire. The fire is burning at Cit-Con, often referred to as CLAW (CITGO Lubricant and Wax Plant).
