During today's Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo announced a new installment in the Tomodachi Life life-sim series--Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream. It is set to launch for Nintendo Switch in 2026, and it will be the first Tomodachi Life game since the original launched in 2014.

With the news that Tomodachi Life is making its Nintendo Switch 2 debut, the hype is massive as it makes records on Nintendo’s social media.

Originally launched in Japan in 2013 as Tomodachi Collection: New Life, and later released in the West in 2014 as Tomodachi Life, the game sold over 6.7 million copies worldwide, making it one of the most successful titles for the Nintendo 3DS.
