Terry McLaurin didn’t report to Commanders training camp during an ongoing contract dispute. While all other members of the team reported for conditioning tests Tuesday, McLaurin, 29, was not one of them, according to multiple reports.
Up front, Washington added Miller and Jacob Martin as pass rushers but also loaded up with big bodies in Javon Kinlaw, Eddie Goldman and Deatrich Wise Jr. in an effort to help fix a unit that ranked 30th in rushing yards allowed.
Former Washington coach Jay Gruden says the team must secure a new deal for star WR Terry McLaurin, calling his absence a major concern for the offense.
Though McLaurin has publicly expressed his frustration with his contract, the Commanders' G.M. said he's expecting McLaurin to report to training camp.
Second on the board to potentially acquire McLaurin's services are the New England Patriots. The Pats have not had a 1,000-yard receiver since the 2019 regular season, when Tom Brady was throwing passes to Julian Edelman (1,117 yards).
