Gautam Gambhir has faced severe criticism after India's poor performance in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Australia defeated India 3-1 in the five-match Test series to secure a place in the World Test Championship final.

Former cricketer Mohammad Kaif raised concerns over Gautam Gambhir's coaching, questioning his team selection and tactical decisions during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Kaif said Gambhir hasn't yet reached the stage to trigger changes in Virat Kohli's batting technique but he should have been better with choice of XI.
