The Israel Defense Forces continues its intense airstrike and ground campaigns in Gaza, particularly in the north of the strip around several Palestinian hospitals.

At least 30 people, including children, were killed in Gaza by Israeli strikes overnight and into Friday morning, hospital staff said, as sirens also sounded across Israel and stalled ceasefire talks were set to resume.

In a letter to Defence Minister Israel Katz, the lawmakers urged an immediate shift to the so-called “ General’s Plan ”, a controversial strategy touted by a retired member of the Israeli military, suggesting the army forcibly empties Gaza’s north of its entire population and regard anyone remaining as an enemy fighter.

The order included four residential block areas in a refugee camp where Israel claims Palestinian militants fired rockets from.
