The deceased have been identified as 9-year-old Jose Rodrigo Yanes Barahona and 69-year-old Maria Domitila Nolasco Martinez, both of Roanoke.

Roanoke police identified 69-year-old Maria Domitila Nolasco Martinez and nine-year-old Jose Rodrigo Yanes Barahona, both of Roanoke, to be the victims killed in Sunday evening’s train crash.

A woman and boy were killed after being hit by a train near the 700 block of Drew Ave Sunday, March 9, according to Roanoke Police.
