New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields will practice for a couple of weeks with a plastic shield on the outside of his cleats to protect his injured toe.

Recently, the New York Jets received an injury scare when newly-signed quarterback Justin Fields exited practice with what appeared to be a foot injury.

“I’m very relieved,” Fields said in his first comments to reporters since the injury.
