The next major Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket update, dubbed Space-Time Smackdown, is scheduled for Jan. 29, but several cards are already starting to appear online, presumably through datamining. Let’s break down some highlights.

We all want the slickest cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket, but rampant cheaters and sellers are prompting action from The Pokémon Company.

This means that players actually won't be able to trade cards from the Space-Time Smackdown expansion when it launches, and will instead have to wait for that option. It also means that all the Pokemon TCG Pocket rarest cards can't be traded, so if you wanted somebody's gold Mewtwo ex, you won't get it.

The creators of Pokémon TCG Pocket have issued a warning to all players not to tamper with game data or participate in real money trades, or risk getting their accounts banned. The crackdown comes right before card trading and a new Space-Time Smackdown set are added to the mobile hit.

The Space-Time Smackdown set in Pokémon TCG Pocket will be released worldwide on Jan. 30, though the exact timing will depend on your timezone.
