The East Tennessee region saw 118 crashes Friday and into Saturday morning, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s Mark Nagi.
TDOT said people heeded the call to stay off the roads for the most part overnight. Crews were working through the night to plow the main routes across the area.
