The City of Green Bay is planning to remove a playground from one of its oldest parks, citing its age and maintenance costs—not because of concerns about homeless people frequenting the space.

On April 15, the Green Bay City Council approved a recommendation to remove the playground equipment from St. John's Park and for city staff to create a master plan to evaluate future use at the park.
