The Lorain County Bomb Squad neutralized old dynamite found in a barn on Cooper Foster Park Road using kerosene. There is no danger to the public.

Back in 1978, the team owner got a massive scare, when a bomb was discovered under his car. The car in question was a Cadillac limousine, and the explosive was a homemade dynamite bomb.

Producing from his pocket a dynamite bomb, the soldier slid it gingerly into the 4-inch pipe, lowered it slowly until it reached what felt like the bottom of the pipe. At 4:25 a. m. he lit the fuse.
