ET: Thursday's game between the Charlotte Hornets and Los Angeles Lakers was postponed due to wildfires across the greater Los Angeles area. The date for the rescheduled game will be announced at a later time.

The Charlotte Hornets head to crypto.com Arena to face the Los Angeles Lakers in a non-conference matchup. The Hornets are 8-27, which puts them in 13th place in the Eastern Conference. The Lakers are 20-16, which puts them in sixth place in the Western Conference.

For the past few seasons, the Los Angeles Lakers have not been the dominant franchise that many are accustomed to. The team had one Western Conference Finals run in the 2023 NBA season, but they came off of being in the Play-In tournament numerous times.

The NBA on Friday postponed Saturday’s San Antonio Spurs- Los Angeles Lakers game in Los Angeles and the Charlotte Hornets- Los Angeles Clippers game in Inglewood, California, “due to the ongoing wildfires in the Los Angeles area ,” the league announced in a news release.
