According to Rule 3, Article 3 of the 2024 NCAA football rule book, officials may "suspend the game temporarily when conditions warrant such an action" — such as numerous weather delays.

There are eight areas for review in the NCAA football rule book, starting with scoring plays. Passes can be reviewed to determine whether a catch was made and whether the pass was legal.
