England captain Maro Itoje praised his side's endurance as they ended a run of four straight defeats by Scotland with a dramatic 16-15 Six Nations win at Twickenham on Saturday.

Scotland has surrendered the Calcutta Cup after Finn Russell couldn’t convert their three tries and lost to England 16-15 in dramatic fashion at Twickenham.

The visitors deservedly led 10-7 at half-time after Ben White and Huw Jones crossed for tries, with Tommy Freeman crossing for England. But Marcus Smith (2) and Fin Smith shared three second-half penalties to put England 16-10 ahead before a dramatic finish.

England won the Calcutta Cup for the first time in five years by beating Scotland in the Six Nations. In a tight game, Steve Borthwick’s side ran out 16-15 winners after Finn Russell missed a late conversion. Scotland had taken the lead early on through Ben White, but England quickly hit back through Tommy Freeman.
