AUSTIN, Texas — Texas will require all public school classrooms to display the Ten Commandments under a new law that will make the state the nation's largest to attempt to impose such a mandate.
Governor Abbott signed a law requiring all Texas public schools to display the Ten Commandments in every classroom beginning with the 2025-2026 school year.
I believe I know why. The Ten Commandments are found twice in the Bible, first in Exodus and later in Deuteronomy. Both describe Moses’s receipt of the covenant at Mt. Sinai.
