White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt opened her press briefing by railing against the recent court rulings against President Trump's global tariff policy.

President Trump nominated Emil Bove III to a seat on the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday. He said in a Truth Social post that he expected Bove to use his seat on the federal circuit court to “end the Weaponization of Justice, restore the Rule of Law, and do anything else that is necessary to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”

The House-passed bill includes a large tax cut, as well as more money for defense and immigration enforcement, financed in part by slashing health, nutrition, education and clean energy programs.

The White House called for the Supreme Court to overturn judicial rulings blocking most of the tariffs Trump has imposed to negotiate trade agreements.
