Klay Thompson exited the team bus then beamed as he strolled back into Chase Center, greeted by some 400 cheering Warriors employees showing their love and appreciation for the former Golden State star.

A sold-out Chase Center crowd, all wearing white captain’s hats, erupted when the Warriors’ public address announcer declared Thompson back. They saluted their caps after a 45-second video montage played, ending with a “Thank You, Klay” message. Both the Warriors and Mavericks players and coaches craned their necks to watch the tribute.

Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 37 points and nine assists. He went 5-of-12 from the 3-point line. De'Anthony Melton added 14 points, and Buddy Hield finished with 14 points off the bench. The Warriors now sit at 9-3 on the season after the win, which marked their second straight. They'll host the Memphis Grizzlies next on Friday.
