U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell will join the Pickens County Emergency Management Agency Thursday morning in surveying the destruction left behind in Gordo following Alabama's tornado outbreak last weekend.

On Saturday night, March 15, an EF-2 tornado hit the Gordo community ravaging around 20 buildings, including homes, and businesses.

Brown Family Farm, located on Highway 159 just north of Gordo, lost four of its six chicken houses in a matter of minutes. Brown is not entirely sure about his next steps will be.

That includes Gordo, where a tornado left lots of destruction. Gordo residents are still cleaning up damages from that storm.

On Saturday, an EF-2 tornado affected the Gordo community and damaged about 20 structures, including homes and buildings.
