One of the biggest storylines in sports over the past 24 hours has been Dallas Cowboys star pass rusher Micah Parsons publicly requesting a trade after failing to reach an agreement on a long-term contract extension.

The messy fallout only continued from there when Jones rehashed past contract talks involving former Cowboys wideout Dez Bryant and Jay-Z — a five-year, $70 million contract extension in 2015 — drawing reactions from the receiver and Roc Nation Sports, the latter’s management company.

"It's almost akin to an option quarterback," Jones said during the interview with USA Today. "He can step out, he can either hand it to that guy going down the line, or he can come on out and keep it, or he can pitch it. Three different things. The longer you give him to get to the sideline, the better chance you've got to make the better play.
