National Guard troops arrived in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday after being ordered into the city by President Trump in response to a weekend of violent clashes between law enforcement officers and protesters triggered by immigration enforcement operations in the area on Friday.

"Tear-gassed almost immediately at the very peaceful protest downtown — they’re inciting this,” the musician and producer wrote on his Instagram story Sunday.

California National Guard troops with riot shields pushed protesters into the streets, as tear gas was deployed and less-than-lethal rounds exploded in the roadway. The crowd shut down part of the
