PGA Championship has already dealt with its fair share of weather worries this week. On Tuesday, a thunderstorm put a brief halt to practice rounds at Quail Hollow Club.

The PGA Championship announced its tee times for the major tournament’s first two round on Tuesday. Among the highlight groups, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will begin play alongside Masters winner Rory McIlroy and defending tournament champion Xander Schauffele.

The buildup to the 2025 PGA Championship is all about Rory McIlroy. McIlroy finally captured his first Masters win in April and can now play free with the career Grand Slam in his possession and with a decade-long major drought ended.

We have some good news. The damp pattern of the past several days will give way just in time for one of pro golf's major tournaments in Charlotte, North Carolina, through the weekend.

The second major of the year brings the golf world to Charlotte with Quail Hollow Club hosting the 2025 PGA Championship. It is a positive for most of the players in the field to be familiar with the golf course as a regular stop on the PGA Tour because there may not be a lot of time to complete practice rounds before the tournament begins Thursday.
