We are monitoring a winter weather storm that is going to be moving across 25 states over the next day or so. An area of low pressure and trailing front is bringing potential for some strong to severe storms to Southeast Texas today.

Houston is in store for mild temperatures this weekend. Ahead of a cold front arriving later on Sunday, Houston afternoon temps will be unusually warm by early January standards, rising to about 10 to 12 degrees above normal.
