A tornado warning has been issued for Savant Lake and Sturgeon Lake in northwestern Ontario. Here's the latest from Environment and Climate Change Canada on how to stay safe.

A line of severe thunderstorms crossed the border and made a mess in southwestern Ontario on Saturday, blocking streets with downed trees and knocking out power to thousands. The storms pushed through Windsor around 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. local time, arriving with strong wind gusts and heavy rainfall.

Summer in Ontario may bring with it warm weather, but last week's tornado in Lucan is a reminder that it’s also tornado season.

Environment Canada's tornado warning for eastern Ontario has ended. From about 3:20 until 4 p.m. the agency said a severe thunderstorm could possibly produce a tornado in communities such as Kemptville and Merrickville. It's not yet known if a tornado formed.

A tornado warning has been issued for several municipalities in eastern Ontario. Shortly before 3:30 p.m. this afternoon, Environment Canada announced that a warning is in effect for Merrickville-Wolford-Kemptville,
