Aug 24, 2020 · .cia is for playing on a real 3DS .3ds is for playing in the Citra emulator You can convert .3ds to .cia to play on a real 3DS but the one time I tried it, it didn't work. I may have been using a bad or outdated tool though.

May 17, 2022 · bluedragon8633. Idk if OP needs this anymore, but to the people coming from Google: romsforever.co has almost always had working roms in several different regions/formats. It also has a much cleaner interface than some of these other sites, in my opinion. Edit: make sure you use an adblocker though, apparently it has popup issues.

Rom Files cannot be infected with viruses. Each site is unique, but over time there are tricks to figure out how to get the rom files. I recommend installing Universal Bypass, it works very well. Alot of times the Giant download button is an ad that will try to get you to download an exe file. Watch out for that.

Apr 17, 2021 · Late answer, but for those wondering how to do it, just. 1: place .3ds file in 3ds folder on the sd card of the 3ds. 2: restart 3ds device while holding start and power button, this will open godmode, locate file and press r+a (The 3ds will have to be homebrewed) 3: proceed to "build cia from file".

Sep 23, 2023 · 3DS ROM images can be in either encrypted or unencrypted form. Typically, homebrew images would be unencrypted while backups of retail titles would be encrypted. Citra only works with decrypted images, so any encrypted image needs to be decrypted first.
